NS Council Hears Library Report

The past year was a successful one for the Stillwell Library in New Sharon. Following the rollover from private to public ownership the library set out on a venture to become a certified library. Library officials informed the council of the progress during its annual report Wednesday.

New Sharon City Councilors met for the first time in calendar year 2018 and handled a number of routine organizational issues following the library report. Director Dianna Klinker and board member Terry Pollard presented the report and made the annual request for funding.

“The passage of the levy in November was big for us,” said Klinker. “Thank you to the voters for that. I received my card as a certified librarian. Now we are working on completing the paperwork to become a certified library.”
