North Mahaska FFA Celebrates National Week

Blue-jacketed teenagers will join in activities throughout the country this week celebrating National FFA Week. North Mahaska will begin with sub-districts at Keota.

Advisor Miranda Johnson said she is excited about the activities for the week.

“Monday on President’s Day we are competing at Keota High School for sub-district contests,” said Johnson in an email. “We have students competing in Job Interview, Ag Broadcasting, FFA Creed, Ag Welding, Ag Sales and Greenhand Quiz.”

The chapter will host dress-up days Tuesday-Friday. Tuesday is “Er” of “Or” Day. Participants will dress up as a tractor, farmer, doctor, teacher, etc. Wednesday is Cowboy/Cowgirl Day, Thursday celebrates the Kentucky Derby, and Friday is the traditional Blue/ Gold Official Dress Day.

Teachers will also benefit from the chapter activities.
