Good Shooting Sends No. 10 NM Past Tigerhawks

When North Mahaska’s girl’s basketball team gets on a roll shooting they are tough to stop. Such was the case Dec. 11 when the Warhawks shot better than 50 percent from the field en route to a 61-21 win.

NM coach L.E. Moore said the good looks fell and got the team off to a good start.

“We have to do that for us to have a good start,” said Moore. “We had a good practice last night and we wanted to get it done. I am proud of how these girls bounced back.”

Moore was referring to his team’s loss at Montezuma the Friday before. His team has lost two South Iowa Cedar League games to ranked Monte and Lynnville- Sully.
