EBF latched down the Redettes with a 2-3 zone that saw the Rockets roll to a 14-5 first period lead. Thirteen of the points came off 13 Centerville miscues. Randie Richmond scored half of her 16 points in the first period. The score could have been even worse, but EBF was just 2-for-6 from the free throw line in the first quarter.

Further, the Redettes were held scoreless through the first two and a half minutes before Kati Staton hit a shot. It would be another two minutes for Centerville would score again.

From there the Rockets were able to keep Centerville under control. The turnover bug struck EBF in the second period as the Rockets committed 10 errors resulting in seven Centerville points.
