EBF Seniors Spark Win over DC

You could call the Eddyville- Blakesburg-Fremont the “Good Hands People.” No they are not representatives of an insurance company, but they are pests to opposing offenses. The handy Rockets blocked three shots and stole 18 balls to secure a 52-47 victory over Davis County in girl’s basketball Tuesday.

“We never know what kind of shooting night we are going to have,” said EBF coach Tony Fenton. “We needed the defense because we were not shooting the ball very well.”

Neither team shot exceptionally well although EBF was able to score at a 36.8 percent clip while limiting the Mustangs to 30 percent shooting. Davis County won the rebounding 35-26 and did better at the free throw line hitting 11-of-18 while EBF hit just 9-of-22.
