The Rockets fell at home 8-7 to Albia then Friday night a safety with less than a minute to play allowed Central Lee to capture a 16-14 victory.

The two teams played closely through four quarters with EBF taking the lead in the second quarter. Central Lee tied the game before halftime. A scoreless third period set up a wild final frame.

Just before the intermission Rooney plowed in from four yards out to tie the game at 7-7. Klyn and Rooney each picked off a pass on defense. Dillon Howard also picked off a Central Lee pass.
