EBF Girls Fall to Washington in Opener

Eddyville-Blakesburg-Fremont girl’s coach Tony Fenton has said this season will be a tough start as his team begins the season.

The first test came Monday when Washington came to town and defeated the Rockets 47-31. Turnovers were a problem as the Rockets gave up 37 while collecting just 12 steals and forcing 29 Washington turnovers.

A second quarter run by the visiting Demons gave Washington a 22-14 lead at halftime after leading by one point at the end of the first period. The Demons kept the pressure on and moved ahead nine points in the second half.
