EBF Band Places First at Pella

The Eddyville-Blakesburg- Fremont Marching Band had a great day in Pella Saturday as they outscored a total of 10 other bands at the Marching Dutch Invitational. The band placed first in class 2A with a score of 62.2 four points ahead of the closest 2A band. EBF also won the Outstanding Color Guard Award.

PCM won the Outstanding Drumline Award in Class 2A. EBF outscored bands from Belle Plaine, Des Moines Christian, PCM, Knoxville, and Humboldt.

The band has 73 members this year. The soloists for this year’s show are Katie Fisher, Maggie Voyles, Delanee Van Zante, Harrison Mock, Adlynn Eveland, and Hannah Koellner. The drum majors are Grace Manternach, Emma Mock, and Eric Schutt. The band is directed by Joe Overton, Dezirae Fairchild, and Color Guard instructor Paige Ver Steegh.
