Building Permits Receive Approvals

Members of the New Sharon City Council continued to see and approve a number of building projects by residents. Four approvals were on the table, three of them received the go ahead.

New Sharon Assembly of God was given the green light for a shed. Stephanie Lahvic showed council photos of a fence she was proposing and received approval. Jack and Donna Smith received approval for a deck.

Linda and Terry Steel’s building permit was placed on hold following comments from resident Roger Pothoven. He said he was remiss in not speaking with the Steels sooner, but he had concerns with the amount of water that may be diverted onto his property by the proposed storage building.

Linda Steel was in attendance, but could not state what her husband had planned for drainage of the property. Councilors tabled the Steel permit approval until it could be determined what kind of drainage is planned.
